Thai and Cambodia to cooperate in tackling drug along border

Thai and Cambodia will cooperate in tackling the drug problem along the border linking Thai’s Trat Province and Cambodia’s Koh Kong (เกาะกง).

Trat Governor Boonchuay Kerdsukhon (บุญช่วย เกิดสุคนธ์) initiated this cooperation to eradicate the prolonged drug problem along the border. He revealed that he had informed Yuth Nathong (ยุทธ ภูทอง), Koh Kong Governor, of the locations where drug dealers store their goods, reportedly in Sema (เสมา) District in Koh Kong, and the drugs transport routes.

Mr Boonchuay said he had instructed relevant agencies in the province, including the Klong Yai (คลองใหญ่) District, the Center for Drug Combating, and the Provincial Police Headquarter, to help monitor the drug situation.

The Trat governor believes that the province will receive a positive cooperation from the Koh Kong governor as the relationship between the two provinces is always in a good term.
