VOA - Visa on Arrival

Featured Replies

Hi a friend of mine is coming to Thailand and will want to stay 90 days, did not have time to get a 60 day TR visa

What are the ways to stay for 90 days

2 X 30 day Visa runs to Mae Sai

2 x Visits  IMM Prom for vias extension

Are the above options legal and doable

Assuming he will be getting a 30 day Visa Exemption (Visa on Arrival is something different for certain nationalities, mostly around the Indian sub-continent).

He will get 30 days on arrival which can be extended once for 30 days at immigration, 1,900 Baht.

Then a border run which will get another 30 day visa exemption, maybe another extension if needed to reach his exit date.

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

The way they count 30 days turns into 29--you go in for the 30 day extension on day 30 and it becomes the first day of the extension.

I haven't kept up, is a land border crossing good for 30 days?  It was only two weeks for a while.

The 15 day entry rule at land border crossing was rescinded when the 2 entry per calendar year rule at them went into effect on January 1.
