Nothing on BBC News about this.

I agree. It's every where else though. If the Beeb are withholding comment, I would suggest some thing fairly substantial is about to be announced.

Breaking news :   Prince Philip .....

UK radio is reporting, and social media is speculating, the news could be regarding her husband Prince Philip.

The 95-year-old was on public duty just yesterday opening a new multimillion-dollar grandstand at Lord's, named after former England captain Sir Pelham Warner.

It would not be any surprise, the Prince is 95 and the Queen 90. But perhaps it is just about letting staff go because with BREXIT they are now illegal aliens.

or could it be to tell them Dan Murphy's is getting low on their favorite port so be on the lookout for more ...:shock1:

If it was a death, then surely the nation would be notified above and before members of the house hold, the news would be immediate,

What about news about an investigation? Rumours are that certain members of the Royal family have a lot of dark secrets.

Abdication of the Throne to Charles (or even straight to William!)? The Queen is in her 90's. Even Prince Phillip doing public duties at age 95 is un precedented - AND unnecessary to have a man of that age doing public service. The Queen likely wants to retire to Balmoral for the rest of her days and she deserves it.

Not long to go before we find out. I hope it is good news and not scandal.

Just stop the conspiracy theories, before anything has been even announced

It seems a bit unlikely that ALL royal staff from all royal residences have been brought to Buckingham Palace, as that would leave them open to be robbed - and who would pay the cost?

Does anyone know whether the various residences have a vastly increased police presence?

Sorry to nit-pick!
