darksidedog Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 I suspect someone has just croaked, or is about to. Can't see the Queen being broke and needing to make cut backs.

steven100 Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Breaking news : Prince Philip ..... UK radio is reporting, and social media is speculating, the news could be regarding her husband Prince Philip. tonray Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 It would not be any surprise, the Prince is 95 and the Queen 90. But perhaps it is just about letting staff go because with BREXIT they are now illegal aliens.

Andaman Al Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 If it was a death, then surely the nation would be notified above and before members of the house hold, the news would be immediate, What about news about an investigation? Rumours are that certain members of the Royal family have a lot of dark secrets. Abdication of the Throne to Charles (or even straight to William!)? The Queen is in her 90's. Even Prince Phillip doing public duties at age 95 is un precedented - AND unnecessary to have a man of that age doing public service. The Queen likely wants to retire to Balmoral for the rest of her days and she deserves it. Not long to go before we find out. I hope it is good news and not scandal.

dick dasterdly Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 It seems a bit unlikely that ALL royal staff from all royal residences have been brought to Buckingham Palace, as that would leave them open to be robbed - and who would pay the cost? Does anyone know whether the various residences have a vastly increased police presence? Sorry to nit-pick!
