Now I know they hate me. For the past few days the pound on mid rates started going up slowly and even went over 45.

One of my pension payments is due on Monday and it's starting to drop again.

Why do they hate me?

Looks OK to me.

Short term indicators point to an "overbought" situation, with "momentum" failing. Correction in the making (worst case) or Consolidation (best case). Until next Monday, no major move expected.

Cheers.

Op, think yourself lucky it's not still 42! Not much you can do, bar weather it out or repatriate. It will possibly go lower but GBP is way undervalued and will bounce back eventually (year or two)... unless you're of the sado dopey remoaner persuasion, in which case expect GBP-baht parity at any time.

It's not Pound strengthening at all, it's cyclical THB weakening that takes place every year in May - it's a short lived phenomena which is why one member posted recently that there is a window of opportunity (that will close before long).,

The markets don't quite agree with you:

Looked at the exchange rates against the Baht, and it seems to be May again.
