20160504_165324 - Shortcut.lnkBeware of what hospital that they take you to if involved in a accident . They are not all the same . Stay as far away from the government hospitals as you can because they only hire the lowest hanging fruit and most unskilled . I am speaking from experiece and was taken to a goverment hospital in a state of shock .  I had the option and the money to go to a private hospital but was in shock with no clear guidance. Just remember You get what you pay for here .   Remember  T.I.T

Juts as hospitals are not all the same, government hospitals are not all the same. The care in tertiary level government facilities, and in government military hospitals, is usually excellent.

See https://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/615461-the-thai-public-health-system/

The most egregious malpractice I have seen in Thailand has, in all cases, been in smaller private hospitals. Which is nor to say it can't happen elsewhere, it can. But the smaller private ones tend to be especially bad, and often especially unscrupulous.

It is not at all the case that you get what you pay for. More cost does not, in my many decades of experience with health care in Thailand, necessarily mean better quality.

The results were terrible  .As of now the wrist is still broken and the Doctors advise was go back to Canada and have it fixed. Kind of takes your confidence away coming from a practicing medical government surgeon.  I think they send them to a different school ,  the one where everybody passes.

May Buddha have his way with him  . I will find a picture to post so everybody is aware of the butcher.

Please do not post a picture nor name names, this would expose both you and TV Forum to prosecution under Thailand's defamation laws, which are quite draconian.

For this injury, you needed not just an ortho surgeon but a hand specialist. There are some good ones in Thailand, including at some government hospitals (but tertiary ones liek Siriraj, not your average community hospital).

The Problem is going to be solved . I am taking the Doctors advice and going to have a specialist do the job properly back in Canada where they take pride in their workmanship . I have sent pictures to different surgeons  in Canada and they can not believe how badly that  he butchered me .  Maybe something to do with not being a Thai .
