trainman34014
Howdy Gardeners. I recently got my hands on some Tulip Bulbs and i'm wondering when is the best time of year to plant them ? I've noticed a few Tulips in bloom in Jan/Feb and would presume from that they should be planted around June/July but does anyone have any experience of growing them ? Also; would be useful to know if it's best to plant them in pots initially and put them in the ground later, or put them straight in the ground ? Thanks for any info' anyone can provide. cooked
I doubt that you will have much success with tulips. They need a cool period before they will bloom. Maybe you mean something else? Thai tulips? Not the same thing. Cultivating in pots is pointless Sent from my iPad using Thaivisa Connect

They will give a flower only one time. The tulips sold in The Netherlands for export are treated on this way, so they will make a plant always after planting, no matter on the time of year. Arjen. Thank you for that information. Mine came from New Zealand so i have no clue if they have been treated in such a way. I will give them the treatment you suggest and see how it goes.
