Which smarphone for my GF ?

Hello, 

 

I know and use computers much more than smarphones, so I am not a specialist : last year, I bought an Asus Zenphone laser 2 for me ( about 5000 , enough, I don't work with it ) and now I want to buy an other Asus phone for my girlfriend 

she just uses ( very much ) her phone for Facebook ( of course ), speaking with friends , looking at news and she takes pictures and videos very much

 

There are many Asus models, the one I have is too  sophisticated , I think, for what she needs ; Lazada has many Easus phones and I don't know what to buy for  her 

 

there are " Asus Zenfone Go , which difference with ZenFone 2 laser ? I want one which takes nice pictures ( the zenfone 2 laser is good , but does she needs the same than mine, her needs are basic ) ?

I would pick one that has good support in Thailand (Samsung, Oppo, Asus, Huawei, Motorola etc) and you will usually get the best deal from your phone provider.

You should also consider things like a decent processor, screen, camera and how it looks and feels. We're with AIS and found their sales people to be really helpful, so that's where you might want to start?

yea, she needs an iphone, what ever is the latest model. anything else and you will wish you never bought her anything. i gave up buying stuff for my girl. she gets her allowance and she can buy what she wants.  i would suggest give her the cash you were going to spend and leave it up to her.

OP why are you asking that question here?

If you buy her 1, no matter how good it is how expensive it is, it will be wrong.

Tell her get out get your own, and then maybe i will pay for it if it is not to expensive.

Do yourself a favor and avoid her having a smart phone, if you still wanna have conversation with her.

If you can't avoid having her using a smart phone, make surge to install a hidden tracking app before giving the phone to her, that you can check on her.

Asus has no 'status' value, which is very important, especially for Thai girls / women.

 

Let her buy, for a given budget, what she feels gives her the status she wants.

Samsung or iPhone. Main reason is the wide choice of cases, which girls love.

If you go Samsung you can install Samsung pay which also makes it easier to track spending.

 

Go for the model with the right sized screen for her needs. Buy it somewhere you can get a good warranty for when the screen breaks.

If she use FB get one with enough memory like 3 or 4 gb. FB is a memory hog. And get one with a decent battery and enough storage for all selfies and food pictures they like to take.

Samsung would be my go to phone and the new S8 is water proof to certain degree. Yes a little expensive but it will pay off in the long run when she goes to Songkran and it gets wet.?

B  Give it to her Thia boyfriend

C  Dump you anyway when one of her other 'guys' come to visit

Finally, because she likes to taxe pictures with my Asus phone, I have bought to Lazada  a more recent Asus phone, 3990 bahts, she is not a luxuous girl so she will be happy with it 

it can do many more things she needs, but it's ok, not too expensive and she will not borrow my phone anymore  to take pictures outside ( I am always afraid that the phone disappears or is   stolen )

Mine always ask me for advice re Laptops & Phones and are 100% happy with my choice! (By the way, I am an Apple hater!)

The wife just changed her old Samsung J7 for a Huawei GR5 2017 - 5.5" 1080 x 1920 screen, 3Gb RAM, 32Gb ROM, 12 + 8 Mp cameras and a 3340 mAh battery.

All for Bht7,500.

I think that's a great choice especially for the price. Many phones will make anyone using Facebook scream in frustration. Some believe that when using the Internet, the phone makes little difference. WRONG!

I'm mighty impressed with Huawei, I replaced my old Samsung Galaxy S2 with a Huawei P9 at the start of the year, and the wife switched a Samsung Galaxy Tab for the Huawei MediaPad T2 and now the old J7 for a GR5. They're all well speced and very well priced.
