has anyone had a foot operation in Thailand hallux rigidus

Featured Replies

I have a problem with a sore big toe that requires an operation .Has any had a similar operation recently in Thailand ? I would appreciate to know the cost and the recovery period and was your treatment a success.

Thanks

Many TV members have had foot surgery in Thailand though I do nto offhand recall one specifically with this problem.

Cost will vary greatly depending on where it is done (government or ptivate hospital etc) and type of procedure.

You do not mention where in Thailand you are. If you are In/near Chiang Mai, Prof. Tanawat Vaseenon at CMU is an excellent foot specialist and can be seen at Sripat; he also has his own clinic  https://translate.google.co.th/translate?hl=en&sl=th&u=http://www.tanawat-clinic.com/home/index.php/component/content/category/8-about-us&prev=search

In Bangkok area, Prof. Bavornrit-Chuckpaiwong is a Harvard-trained specialist in foot and ankle problems. He can be seen privately at Bumrungrad (expensive) and also at a specialized foot clinic at Siriraj Hospital (government hospital, much less expensive, but long waits etc)
