Krungsri (Bank of Ayudhya) customers can now purchase foreign currency using their Krungsri debit cards and Krungsri Group credit cards at the same exchange rates as for cash-to-cash transactions, and with no fee, at 100 of the bank’s branches and forex booths in Bangkok and surrounding areas.

Under the new service, Krungsri credit cardholders will enjoy not only a grace period of up to 50 days, but also low-interest instalments for up to 10 months.

Phonganant Thanattrai, Bank of Ayudhya’s head of Retail Banking and Distribution Group, said on Monday that the new currency-exchange service had been developed under the bank’s “Customer Centricity” strategy aimed at providing added convenience and benefits for its clients.

Under the concept of “Just Swipe, Get Forex for Happy Trips Worldwide”, foreign currency of up to Bt100,000 per person per day can be purchased with Krungsri debit/credit cards with no fee at 100 of the bank’s branches and foreign-currency exchange booths in Bangkok and nearby provinces.

Credit cardholders will also benefit from good value for money with either a grace period of up to 50 days, or an instalment rate of 0.79-per-cent interest a month for up to 10 months, he said, adding that the forex rates under this service are the same as those for cash-to-cash transactions.

The service is available the bank’s Rama III branch, as well as at 94 branches located in department stores and office buildings in greater Bangkok, and at six foreign-currency exchange booths situated at Don Mueang International Airport, Mega Bangna, Siam Paragon, Thaniya Plaza and Bank of Ayudhya’s Sukhumvit 15 and Sukhumvit 35 outlets.

Intro to the article says "at the same exchange rates as for cash-to-cash transactions", so yes, probably banknotes sell rate, worst possible option for customers.
