I am using NordVPN to select an Australian IP address to enable me to watch live streaming on all of the 9Now & 7Plus channels, however both networks wont allow me to view any catch-up content due to my overseas location. Any suggestions appreciated!

Many stream operators take efforts to exclude VPN users.

This site simply seems to be strong/ambitious in detecting VPNs.

9Now:

I tried PureVPN and have the same result.

I also (still) have Cyberghost (CG) and with that get to the point where I should login or signup.

So I can't tell you whether the stream would actually work fine.

CG have 8 servers in Sydney from which one can select manually.

But you are never sure that sometime the site will kick them out.

Try setting your machine to an appropriate time-zone for the content you want to view.

Yep, did that as well as turning off location services and manually setting my location to Sydney... but it's still detecting me as being outside of Aus : (

The television company detects your real DNS.

Google for DNS leak and how to prevent it.

Thanks , but my vpn provider (nordvpn) have checked my connection and are satisfied there is no leak.

They (Nord) are also unable to provide a solution at this time. .."our techos are looking into and we will get back to you"....

Then probably the IP address from the vpn server is black listed by the tv company.

Similar happens with BBC.
