Is this permanent or can we expect to see it again? I find it more useful on occasion than giving a poster a 'Like' via a direct reply.

Forum should add dislike button.

Even better would be 4 buttons:

great!  ///  agree  ///   disagree  ///   yuk!

That would be a fantastic idea!

I have ' reacted '  in place of the old ' liked '   is now shown ..  ?

Maybe a ' I need another drink '  button would be handy ....   ?

The like button will be back soon. It and a few other things are being worked on. Give techdoctor a chance to get it worked out.

Sorry but the dislike button will never happen.

A range of possible responses would be great, rather than a simple 'Like" ...... if practical?

My one word post was related to your last sentence.

I don't know if the posts part of the upgrade is complete yet?

Assuming it is, something that has disappeared at the moment is the Post ID number that references each post uniquely within a thread.

I found it useful, sometimes to be able to quote it in a reply, or when I was reading a thread, to use it to remember where I was in that thread if I went to look at something else that it referred to.

That has been mentioned in the pinned topic at the top of the main page.

OK UJ, Thanks.

I didn't realise it was in another thread: New site feedback - on page 101. I've posted in there in the hope to find out how to get the post ID numbers back.

Techdoctor is aware of the problem. Nothing you can do yourself.

Apparently these forum "upgrades" are a tech version of Whack-A-Mole.  Fix one thing and another thing breaks.

The "like" button has apparently been replaced with several options (thanks, happy, sad, confused) none of which actually mean "like".

Is this progress?

clicking on the heart is "Like"

While I realised that hovering over those 'buttony-things' before clicking will show what they mean, I take KittenKong's point that if you weren't certain what they are for, some members might be reluctant to click a heart icon, thinking it might just express 'love'.

Perhaps it's the software vendor's attempt to get more love into the world.
