BANGKOK: -- Thousands of Facebook users have urged the authorities to take legal action against two taxi drivers who had a street brawl after a minor traffic accident.

It followed a video of the incident being posted online on Monday night.

The video shows the two taxi drivers fighting at an intersection.

Within 13 hours of the clip being posted by “AmPoi Poi”, it had been viewed 2.412 million times, received over 13,000 reactions and shared over 5,900 times.

The Facebook user who posted the video said she was a passenger in a yellow-green taxi being driven from Siam to a hotel when a pink taxi hit the taxi’s side mirror and did not stop.

She said when her taxi driver caught up to the pink taxi at the intersection, he alighted the vehicle to speak with the other taxi driver.

She said the other driver would not apology and they started fighting.

The woman said he was frightened and nobody tried to stop the fight.

She said the fight only stopped when her female companion asked their driver to continue the trip.

Most Facebook users said both drivers should be punished, while many said the pink taxi driver should also be punished for wearing shorts and sandals to work.

That and the fact that they have no swords, guns or machetes leads me to believe that they are not real bona fide taxi drivers.

Small Brain Syndrome!  Talk to my hand!

PATHETIC BEHAVIOUR!

Not worthy a Taxidriver in any country!

hope the McGregor/ Mayweather fight is better than this one

So many Thai guys are just so angry, so delicate, so egotistical, with their culture of face tethering on the edge of psychosis.

That and not having the keys to the boot where the regulation machete is kept.

So long as they stand there without protecting the head and not distracting with the left jab before swinging the right hay bailer then I am happy.

Aachen  wearing informal attire is another question totally.

Here the matter involves disturbance of peace and displaying hooliganism. these should be addressed immediately.

Stay tuned for a taxi driver returning a bag of cash..

Yeah, but we're only allowed to slander less than half of the population without getting banned.

one on one....and immediately my vdo goes blank, (rare footage perhaps?)

I drove a Taxi on and off for 28 yrs. back home. If this little tit for tat caused almost 2 and a half million to go and view it ..I'd hate to see what they would have to say about an average night on our streets during a night shift.

Mayweather will win on points. but who knows

Or cares?

Ever heard of irony mate ?

Savages

Well, of course there are no 'uniformed officers' 'cos they've all been drafted elsewhere. I mean, wouldn't want to 'spoil' themselves before the main event would they? Ah, don't mind me...just being facetious.

Not very smart wearing sunglasses while punching each other......you could put your eye out!
