Troops and local police joined forces to arrest a police senior sergeant-major in Sakaew’s Wang Somboon district on Thursday night on charge of drugs peddling.

Officers from the 13th Ranger Regiment and the Burapha taskforce joined officers from Wang Somboon police station and Tambon Wang Mai chief Pichet Rakson to raid the home of Pol Sen Sgt-Major Pinij Sappakitpaibul, 39, in Tambon Wang Mai at 8pm.

The raid was conducted after officials were tipped off that the house was used for distributing drugs in the area.

The raid found 118 methamphetamine pills in the house.

The policeman was taken to his own Wang Somboon station to face charges of having possession of illegal narcotics with intent to sell.

Well would you believe it, a senior policeman peddling drugs, tut, tut, tut.

There was me thinking that the police were there to serve and protect.

I don't normally hear an NCO described as a  "senior policeman".  Was expecting to read about a Colonel or General but they would never deal in drugs of course.

and after being charged at his own station, he was set free on bail with a list of names and addresses of those who tipped of the officials...

No, the above is fictional, it never happens, it is so far removed from reality, it's absurd and unthinkable (or...)

This is not a senior position, just a bought title.
