One killed, three injured in Prachuap Khiri Khan crash

By The Nation

A man was killed and his wife and daughter injured when the pickup truck in which they were passengers crashed into a roadside tree in Prachuap Khiri Khan’s Bang Saphan Noi district on Wednesday morning.

Police believe the driver, Kiartisak Boonma, 47, who was also injured, had dozed off at the wheel.

The 6am accident on southbound Phetkasem Road in Tambon Chang Raek left Thosspaol Klinbangyuoong, 49, who was in the front passenger seat, dead.

His wife Duang-anong Klinbangyoong, 47, and their daughter Kanchana Klinbangyoong, 21, were in the extra cab passenger seats just behind. Both were injured.

Police said the group was travelling from Pathum Thani to visit relatives in Hat Yai.

A correctly installed and fastened seat belt might have been more effective

Better get a good nights rest before commencing on a long journey, and when you feel sleepy stop at the next PTT station and have a cup of coffee at 7-eleven.

Why are Thais always in a hurry ?
