Chain Link Fence Installation Cost

Featured Replies

Hi Guys

I purchased 8 rolls of 1.5 x 10 metre Chain Link Fencing the other day from DoHome at 1273 baht per roll and and wondering what the cost would roughly be to have someone make and install the fence for my two side boundaries.

I have had a quote from one local Jack of all trades to do the fence panels in 1.5 x 2.5 metre sections, i.e. 16 sections per side boundary.

I have the steel and the Chain Link Fence rolls as mentioned and am ready to go, but his price seems a little pricey so I thought I would check out what others have paid, his "village" price is 1200 baht per 1.5 x 2.5 metre section, now I reckon this would take me about 4 hours per section to make (being very generous), and 1200 baht per section does seem a little pricey as mentioned, I mean I am supplying all the materials and all this guy has to do is cut the steel, weld it to make a square frame, then weld the Chain Link Fence to it, dig a hole, drop in some cement to secure the polls either side of each 1.5 x 2.5 metre section, and then weld the 1.5 x 2.5 metre sections in place.

Interested if anyone has had Chain Link Fencing installed at any metre rate, and not wanting to sound like a cheap Charlie, but at 19,200 baht for a 40 metre side boundary fence x 2 appears to be up there for an unqualified fencer, although Jack of all trades who I am confident can do the work, as I have seen his skill.

A tensioned 3mm wire along the top (accompanied by diagonal posts every 10 to 15 metres) would be cheaper. Paying ฿1273.- per roll seems WAY over the top as far as prices go.

Using a wire would also make the fence more difficult to climb over.

I did many kilometres of fencing back home and I never did (or saw) one like in your picture.

For the record, I was charging about 40 minutes work's value / metre including material, plus about 60 minutes per concreted in post /diagonal.

1273 Baht per 10 metre roll is pretty good when locally they wanted 1600 for the same roll

I was asking for anyone who had had this installed on a per metre basis, but thanks for your comment anyway

I paid ฿600.- last time I bought. I just gave you a per metre installation price, in hours. You're welcome
