Me ???

Born in the Midlands UK 19/1/57 ...came to Oz in 68 and never been back to the UK...dont want to either....

Lived in Perth and Karratha before heading east with the Army in 74...did my 6 years in green and lived in Queanbeyan for a while before heading back west. In Sydney I was engaged to an Oz girl but that didnt work out....

Worked in various jobs back in Perth, married an Oz girl in 89 and that finished in 92, a friend showed me pics from his trip to Buriram in 93...got my shit together and saved money and did my first trip to LOS on 25/12/93..Married a non BG Thai girl in 94 and brought her back here for a holiday, She did the dirty on me so I basically dumped her, that was for the better and I still kept coming back to the LOS....did a few side trips to Vietnam, Malaysia and Cambodia in that time.

Met a girl who worked daytime waitress in a bar in Patters in 2003...we are getting married in May...so it took me 10 years to find the right girl.

I spent 17 years as a paint maker with a stint as a car salesman in there somwhere...in 2001 I entered the Court Custodial work arena...and have done that for 4 years....last week I started training to become a Prison Officer...Hopefully and all being well thats is my final career choice.

Oh yeah and it is my 50th birthday today.... :D:o

I'm hitting the century mark later this year. Originally from Chicago area. Working abroad for most of the last six years, currently in UK. I'm getting ready to start back up with my Thai language coursework at SOAS in London. Me and my TGF honey have been together for a little over 3 years. Our place is up country, about 200 clicks north of Bkk, about mid-way between Phetchabun and Taphan Hin. Contrary to the rumors in Bedlam, I'm nearly as far right politically and in lifetstyle as people think. I've had RamdomChances up to my place a while back for the keun-bahn-mai celebration, and met Wolf, Rinrada, BangkokButcher and some others at the London-Thai Food Festival in 2005. (Geez, let's hope we get some better weather this year!) If everyone else in TVF is as nice as these folks, then I'm in the right place. I'm hoping to catch one of the big piss-ups someday. A lot of people think I'm crazy for investing to help my girl, her daughter and her family to improve their education and prospects for a better life. But it's the best thing I've ever done and no one can ever take that away. I think most people hope to do some good in their life and seek a lifestyle that makes them happy. This is it for me. Four years ago I could have never imagined it. Now I can't imagine being without it.

I'm enjoying the stories. Keep 'em coming. Long live Bedlam!

I have very high respect for anyone that helps out animals. :o

Give me a decent kitchen and I can do some amazing things with animals.

Blimey DSK, I know it's your birthday, but asking The Suegha if is he Irish, is like asking the pope if he was a member of the Hitler Youth. :D

You must be too busy typing rather than reading other peoples posts, btw, not minding coming second to the Irish is a pretty fortunate position to be in. :o

Have I said Happy Birthday yet.

Good Luck
