CityNews – A group of teens have been arrested after an aggressive attack on a Tai Yai man at Ton Lamyai Market on January 15th, stabbing him six times in the abdomen and head.

On January 15th, a group of teens began chasing a man after a heated argument outside Ton Lamyai Market. After catching up with the man, the gang stabbed and hit him with metal pipes. The victim, a 28 year old Tai Yai man, suffered six stab wounds to his abdomen and head and had bruises all over his body. He was rushed to hospital where he is now in a stable condition. The attackers ran from the scene, but eyewitnesses told police they were wearing shirts with the Bua Dum Gang logo.

The Bua Dum Gang (Black Lotus Gang) is a gang of roughly 40 members, connected on Facebook, who meet up around Chiang Mai. They often target Tai Yai men and teens to attack around Chiang Mai, often near the Iron Bridge, Nawarat Bridge, Tha Pae Gate and Warorot Market.

Looking at the scrotums in the picture, it looks like a kiddies group.

Waste of space, all of them, and they deserve to be locked up for a very long period of time.

Give it up.  No use getting in the way of a Thai bashing, no matter how wrong they are.

Aren't they supposed to fuzz out their faces in the pic? Save their mothers from losing face etc?

No, they don't have to do that unless the accused request it.

if you are going to be a godly over protectionist at least see who was doing the 'thai bashing' as you put it before making ridiculous statements of the highest protectionist order. do you guys have a little protectionist club where you get points on how many times you can accuse someone of thai bashing but then become so obsessed with it that you just accuse anyone even when there is no thai bashing going on? do you get badges and shit like that??

Little touchy there, eh?  Your post indicated the OP was about Burmese guys, which kind of shot holes in another poster's "6:1, normal Thai odds" bash.  Nobody accused you of Thai bashing.  He just quoted your information to support his point.  And my reference to the futility of using reason and facts to stop a good Thai bash seems pretty valid since there was some going on- though not by you.

But go ahead and take offence anyway.

Edit:  BTW, I have no qualms at all about calling out and shaming Thai bashing and other inappropriate (and mean spirited) posts.  Because every time someone doesn't post up some good information for fear of idiots bullying them in response, we as a community lose out on some great information that could make our Asian adventures better.  Bottom line- mean spirited posts steal from all of us -myself included- and I don't mind calling them out, sometimes pre-emptively.  Even if that paints me a crybaby.

1. Thai yai are *not* burmese (at all). Thai yai/shans live in myanmar but many also live in Yunnan and Thailand. 2. *Migrant workers* in thailand can be burmese, thai yai, karen, mon, lao, khmer and many other ethnicities.
