A 14 year old Chinese boy was reportedly in a coma after nearly dying while out with his family at Koh Talu in Rayong.

Lin Yu Chun, 14, had gone off to swim on his own while out on a speedboat trip with his family yesterday.

He was found by another tourist and given CPR at the scene.

He was revived and taken to hospital but is now in a coma.

TNA said that his family had been staying on Koh Samet since Monday and had hired a speedboat to take them to nearby islands.

98 out of the 608 deaths listed on Farang Deaths are from drowning.  Good luck young man

I guess he should have stayed in sight for his swim. Sometimes that swimming alone stuff

is more dangerous than people think. Hope he recovers, 14 is too young to foolishly die.

Geezer

Not a good day for the Chinese and water yesterday.

Not being able to swim doesn't seem to curtail their maritime activity much, eh?
