Hua Hin district chief Jirawat Phramanee ordered his staff to descend on a seven kilometer stretch of the beach yesterday after currents brought in debris spoiling the sand.

Municipal workers were out in force between Central Grand Beach Resort and Villa to Khao Takiap.

Banmuang said that the clean-up was ordered as the beach is frequented by many foreign tourists.

Flotsam and Jetsum?

HH beaches are nasty dirty and have been for some time now.

Just mixes with the Horse and Dog shit.

Thailand always has short term solutions ,especially with regards to beach pollution. Maybe just maybe one day they will wake up and create plans that stop  the pollution from entering the sea in the first place! Sadly it won't happen in my lifetime or the next generation.

I'm willing to bet it's neither flotsam nor jetsam, my best guess is that it's garbage from a variety of sources, mostly originating on land.

I walked the entire beach a few day ago, it was very clean except for the black seaweed.

No Cig butts either, just the fine kind.
