If you want something to just fill that spare hour at some point, look for a documentary called 'Long Shot'.

True story about a black American arrested for murder.

He has a watertight alibi, he was at a Dodgers game with 35,000 other fans.

Further back in time for dinner ep. 6

Last episode in this series showing how food affects the way we live, this episode reflects on the family experience from 1900 to 1949.

Interesting series this showing just how different each decade was:
1900’s abundance of meat on the table.
1910’s feast and famine with WW1
1920’s cocktails and foreign food
1930’s canned food takes over
1940’s rations and the struggle post war.

I watched a few of these. Quite interesting, although the mother is a hackit old bowser who struggles to boil an egg.

Yeah, she acts like someone who’s never set foot in a kitchen !!
She destroyed a can trying to open it , but she did have a couple of funny one liners.

New season of Better Things now.

I noticed that the star Pamela Adlon, who is great, was in an older show called Californication.

Was that any good?

it wasnt any good, it was brilliant

George Gently --finale episode at last...... apparently held back by the BBC Nervous Nellie's as it covers something political and as its in the "Ted Heath" era  and all sorts of accusations are flying around about those days...so it took a long sleep..... Its the final one , ( I believe)

Last weeks Panorama was OK about ageing Britain.... lots of people getting the telegram from the Queen, actually they dont do telegrams any-more--its a card.

Sorry if your not Brit...a card from her majesty if you make the centenary.  So many people reaching it now she must be flat writing---anyway interview quite a few....and surprise surprise its the ones that exercise that are living longer.  --amazing.

If your into renovations there's a new UK program out called "Best laid plans" the architects do renovations/extensions on 3 properties a week---just amazing what can be done with a run down house.

Movie - Contratiempo AKA The Invisible Guest

One of the best movies I've seen this year.

Summary: While the clock is ticking, with the aid of a witness preparation expert, a successful entrepreneur accused of murder
has less than three hours to come up with an impregnable defence.

Has embedded subs.
