webfact Posted May 14, 2018 Posted May 14, 2018 Woman plunges to death from boyfriend’s Bangkok condo By The Nation An online clothes vendor fell to her death from her boyfriend’s room on the 15th floor of a Bangkok condominium late Sunday night. So far, police have found no signs of foul play in the death of Darin Sriprachoke, 20, Pol Colonel Anurak Yosprasit, commander of the Lak Song police station, said on Monday. She plunged to her death from the condo of Likhit Sutthi-arj, 28, with whom she had been living for six months. Likhit testified to police that the accident had occurred after he, Darin, his sister and the sister’s boyfriend had been drinking in his room. Likhit told police that he had gone downstairs to send his sister’s boyfriend home, leaving Darin in the room with his sister. While he was absent, Darin jumped from the condo, according to the account given by Likhit’s sister. Anurak said Likhit, his sister and her boyfriend had all testified that they had not been quarrelling during the drinking session. Likhit also told police that Darin had often threatened to jump when she drank, but police on Monday found no record of her having seen a psychiatrist, Anurak said. Nothing wrong with booze in moderation, but it can push you over the edge (literally) if you are depressed or upset. 1

Or do as I do when I've "over indulged" a little... lay on the floor, hang on to the carpet and wait for the room to stop spinning!!! 2

Unfortunately, a lot of people get very depressed when they are drunk, which won't help if you're 15 floors up in the sky.

Note this thread is only about 9 posts long taking out my comments. If I take out the replies to my comments, it's even shorter. When foreigners "jump", the threads are usually many pages long.

Hmmm, I am aware of these threads. the only real difference i see is that many here seem indifferent to loss of life and less suspicious when the victim is thai. i think dead is dead and someone falling from a condo is the same color on the pavement irrespective of nationality. i hardly see how this is more tame with the exception it doesn't contain click bait in the headline designed to stir the TV population into a frenzy.

OK, so we disagree then... 151,600 people die every day... nearly the population of Thailand every year. Yes, I'm indifferent to it.
