konisaan Posted May 22, 2018 Posted May 22, 2018 Had my tax stamp along with the plastic tube which holds it stolen. Why do they steal it; do they want to use it for their own bike in the hope that the police won't check if it matches the bike? Was wondering how to prevent this from happening in the future. I'm assuming that keeping the stamp under the seat is no good because the police will fine you for not having it visible. I thought about putting a photocopy in the tube outside the bike and the original under the seat in case I get pulled over. However I suppose any police determined to get a bribe could still say I was breaking the rules.

Yes certainly the scumbags will try that and maybe they want the tube holder as well. 3 minutes ago, konisaan said: I thought about putting a photocopy in the tube outside the bike and the original under the seat That's what many people do the police are not known here for having a problem with that. I superglue mine in my designated spot on my bike and put a plastic sticker over. ? 1
transam Posted May 22, 2018 Posted May 22, 2018 It is a ploblem that I fixed... Put your tax thing in your scanner/printer, print it off on photo paper. Cut it out and put it in the round thing, they can nick that. Get the real one put in one of those plastic covers, there are shops that do that to seal it from water, then keep it under the saddle if a ploblem with the BiB... 1

After a few years it could be quite a bump....or new feature maybe.

No !! over ten years now, just scrape it off the designated area and it is not nice to look at unless the new road disc is placed. 1
