Lampang woman begs for 400 stray dogs

A Lampang woman cried when she told reporters on Wednesday morning that her shelter for some 400 stray dogs, many disabled, is running out of food.

Pongrueduee Rasi told several TV channels that she had only two sacks of dog food left and now she has begged for leftovers and scavenged bread from several shops in Lampang to mix with pellets to feed the animals.

She hopes that if dog-lovers drive by her shelter on the Lampang-Prae road, they would stop to provide food or donations.

Several of the dogs are seen on TV moving on makeshift wheels and some are confined to cages as they cannot walk.

Sounds like they have no proper care and will just be left there to rot and crap.

Wouldnt like to be a neighbour who lives downwind from that canine  Treblinka.

Lampang-Prae road

Do they mean the Lampang-Phrae road ? That's the 103.

The article should have given a better location for people that want to donate.

I hope there are kindhearted people that give them food. Starving innocent animals is terrible. However, if they were put to sleep humanely, that would probably be better.

One woman looking after 400 dogs with no vet or money is a joke, as the animals will be suffering from all kinds of issues. It's high time the authorities got some decent policy together on the public health issue of stray dogs and enforced it. In this case, the authorities should raid the place and put down most of these dogs and section this woman. Secondly, people like this woman who obviously have mental health issues should be barred from such activities/monitored and certainly situations like this shouldn't be allowed to fester as long as this one has by the look of it. These types of lunatics are running loose everywhere.

I agree with the above poster that this woman's neighbours must be praying for deliverance....must be an awful 24/7 background noise, not to mention the smell.

So people that care for abandoned dog have "mental health issues" ?

"These Your type of lunatics are running loose everywhere"

Nowhere in the article is stated that she has close by neighbours.

This woman tries to do something about a serious problem and should be helped.
