Currently have 245/70-16 on Ranger but can get a good deal on 265/45/17 tyres (tires).

Will they fit or hit against the wheel arches and front of the body when turning.

The 265's are Bridgestone and for 4 cost is 13.000 baht not fitted which I think is a great price. Tyres are 2016 manufactured.

I can get 4 MAXXIS 245's fitted for 10,000 baht.

Any advice please. Many thanks.

245/70 = 172 MM sidewall height - 70% aspect ratio

265/45 = 120 MM sidewall height

406 mm + 172 = 578 mm

432 mm + 120 = 552

So the 17" wheel/tire combo is 25mm shorter but 20mm wider

Next time please mention it is about tires! [emoji3]

A good 'Cockpit' or B-Qwik will help you out on fitting bigger tyres to OEM rims, will usually always cost more.

Yep, the "regular" size tyres are mass produced for the mass produced rides..

Total diameter of 16" rim plus tire is 406 + 172 + 172 = 750 mm.( the tire is both top and bottom of the wheel ).

17" rim is 432 + 120 + 120 =672 mm . so 78 mm lower total height , but 10 mm wider each side. On 17" rims , of course.
