I would say only problem with one is its size. I went for an aerox 155 because it was a bit smaller. I would have liked the 300cc but not the larger size. Quite often here in BKK the place where you can park is limited. If that is not a problem then I don't see downsides. Weight might be one but i think in general that is not a problem, when i still had my big bike i did not have much problems with the weight. Parking was always a problem.

agree, dont you just hate it when someone with no clue

parks on the right side so you cant even raise the bike to a stand-up position.

i rather grudge i have to fork up this much

on a bike i dont even like, with a water-cooled engine and the engine itself

on a swing-arm, just because its the only bike i fit on save a chopper.

where did all the bikes with foot pegs go i wonder ?

was it just a back-stab against upright citizens i wonder ?

or was it plastic mafia showing its ugly face yet again ?

we may never know the truth,

at least i get use of the transfer money thing i just

learned, just typical at a rate that dont give reason for enthusiasm

Rode the Forza for a bit and didn't like it at all. Stears like a boat, doesn't provide a lot of punch compared to a 125cc scooter, extremely fat for no reason and feels like I am basically sitting inside a big plastic shopping basket. It wasn't even comfortable for my legs even though there's quite some space. The bike was also quite stuttery down low but that might just need some proper service/adjustment. A totel "meh". I'd take a Click unless it's for longer rides and for that I have proper bikes.

PS: not sure what's your gripe with watercooled engines. Neither I nor anyone I know has had issues with them.

i saw too many friends & acquaintances with boiling engines,

and once popped, it happens all the time once they are deformed.

i vowed never to put up with that shit,

but unfortunately i cant find a bike who's handle bar doesnt hit my

knees when i attempt steering at low speed,

beside forza & pcx if the handle bar got extension

and is twisted away

You must tell your friends to look down more often.

Poanoi,

Have you sat on a Royal Enfield? I don't know how much a Forza is but yes Enfield is probably more expensive.

Oil cooled is an alternative. I have a Suzuki Raider 150 with an oil cooler but no water cooler. Never had a problem with overheating.

I'm tall with long legs, my Nmax has plenty of room for my legs and knees are no where near the handlebars!

yes, air cooled dont overheat, but water cooled does,

and once they overheated once,

they get permanently deformed and always cause trouble

First off are you inquiring about the previous floathing bath tub, AKA Honda Forza 300 or the new and dramatically improved model???   The new model is miles ahead of previous Forzas.  The new model IMO gives the Yamaha Xmax 300 a run for the money.  As soon as Pop Rental here in Chiang Mai has one for rent I will give it a go for three days and see how it compares to my Xmax 300 which I absolutely adore.

A new Forza is about 169,000 baht

This Royal Enfield is 179,000 Baht

Lots of knee room and I suspect there are used ones around.

No, it's a great bike, but I had to replace the battery after only 12000 Ks, and it cost me 4.600 Bt, I have now done 26000 Ks and keeping an eye on the battery.

a friend of mine imported a 12 V solar panel from USA,

or rather, he bought it there and brought here for me,

there is a technology that trickle voltage to keep battery at top

and double life time.

fits neatly on a top box

That's interesting, but I'm from the UK and going there for a holiday soon, I don't suppose

anyone knows if you can get these  12v solar panels in the UK.

My wifes son works with solar panels, but not for motorbikes, I have them set up at our house.

to improve battery life

My stepson is working away just now. I will get my wife to speak to him when he comes home.

He may know about these at the end of your links. Thanks.
