Yet not a single mention in the Thai English news reports of the contribution of American, Australian and British experts. A little more credit ought to spread around. Give them a break - the news has just broken that they are safe and everyone is joyous. Who gives a **** right now about listing the nationalities who helped?? You can be sure a hell that the Brits and the others are not looking for credit right now. Edited July 2, 2018 by josephbloggs 12

Popular Post jerry921
What about drilling a rescue shaft down to them now that they are located? I know that mine rescue experts have a way of drilling a 24" shaft that they can lift a man out using a sort of torpedo elevator car on a cable. Seems to me in this case they are likely much closer to the surface than a mine rescue situation would be and they might drill down to them in less than 12 hours if they already have the equipment in place.

Popular Post NCC1701A
Footage has been released of the moment rescue divers located all missing youths and their coach in the cave where they went missing nine days ago. A voice, in English, is heard saying: “How many of you? 13? brilliant! The children ask what is the date. “It’s Monday. You’ve been here 10 days. 10 days. You’re very strong.” “We’re coming, many people are coming, we’re the first.” “We’ve been diving for days. We’re from the navy.” The children say “We’re so happy” and “Thank you so much” in English. http://www.khaosodenglish.com/featured/2018/07/03/watch-the-moment-kids-coach-rescued-video/ Edited July 2, 2018 by NCC1701A 10

The boys looks in remarkable good shape after 10 days , they have survived on water alone I guess.

Popular Post getithere328
Blessed be and praise to the Lord. (And the rescuers) Such good news is rare these days.I think the rescuers should get priority with any praise. Had they been relying on the ‘Lord’ they may have been in for a long wait. Popular Post cornishcarlos
2 British divers found them, apparently... The fact that they were found is the main thing though, now to get them all out safely. Popular Post chang1
Looks like 2 of the 3 man British team found them in the end. Nice to see after they got so many derisory comments on here when they first arrived. I'm sure that they could not have done it without all the other teams that contributed though. 12

Right anyone? I would say that it wasn’t British guys who found them. I think it was a thousand people involved in the whole effort who found them. The people who first determined that they would probably be on Pataya Beach; the guys relaying hundreds of air bottles through the almost impassable passages; the guys who worked tirelessly humping machinery and supplies... I could imagine that the English guys who got there first may just have happened to be on shift at the time. If you win a football match by six goals to five, it isn’t the last goal that won the match: it was all of them. If you win a football match by six goals to five, it isn’t the last goal that won the match: it was all of them. I imagine maybe they had the most experience and best equipment to make the final push before the others could have. It's the goal scorers that get the glory not the defenders. We don't yet know why they were first. So a big well done to everyone especially the engineers that diverted the incoming water and set up the pumps that allowed the boys to be found by some awesome divers.

They were first because they are the two people who have the most experience and expertise in cave diving and rescue and were the people who were leading the team forward and were the two people who were laying guidelines for the Thai Navy Seals to follow, those are facts. They are the two people who were at the front line from when they got there. They are both members of a cave rescue team in the UK. They hold many records for longest cave dives etc all over the world including caves in Everest. If anyone wants to get an idea of who they are then 'google' Rick Stanton and John Volanthen. In normal life one of them is a firefighter and the other has an IT company. 17
Popular Post Nigeone
So happy that there have been found and seemingly remarkably in good spirits and seem in good shape also considering . We all know that any rhetoric would be that it was Thai Seals etc that found them. It was a massive effort and I'm sure chaotic at times but they got there . Anyone who knows Brits in this sort of situation will know that the two guys won't look for credit as they have done what they came to do and the world knows that they are experts in there field . Can't take that away from them regardless what's said in days to come . Now the final push to,get them out which maybe as difficult as the last few days have been in reaching those trapped . Well done you guys ,!! Edited July 2, 2018 by Nigeone 2

Strange choice of the word 'victims', but never mind. 3 hours ago, stament said: I was so happy I didn't even notice the use of that word. Agree strange choice, guessing list in translation maybe Unfortunately the kids are "victims" of others irresponsibilities. But get them out safely first - the 'blame game' can wait. Fantastic work and congratulations to all the rescuers at the site. Edited July 2, 2018 by lvr181 Additional wording 1
