Wanderer 500cc from 1915.  Wanderer motor cycles were manufactured in the German town of Chemnitz between 1902 and 1929.  In 1929 they sold the motorcycle division to František Janeček who named the new company JAWA, a compound of the first two letters of Janeček and Wanderer.

This blog/site that this came from is flawed. They claim the 55hp GT750 was only available between 58 and 60. Strange that i had a Monte Carlo from 1966. GT 750 only had twin carbs. Monte Carlo had triple.

But never mind Trabant was still a twin. 

A Zephyr or a Kawasaki 750 , made in 1992-93 a Kawa back to basics ,

They were 400,550,750 1100 cc in the range ,engine developed from the all conquering Z range .

Yeah, I don't care much what other people think either, but I do care what I think. That I don't wear Speedos has nothing to do with what others think. I see other people in them and I know I don't want to look like that.

Well done to Joan Mir on taking the MotoGP crown at Valencia yesterday and also giving Suzuki a chance of their first World Title in 20 yrs depending on the final race at Portugal in this strangest of seasons .. 

Mir finished 7th but his title lead was enough to ensure getting crowned yesterday ..

Not so much for Rossi though in his 20th season in the top class .. a number of dnf's either coming off or from bike issues , nearly getting wiped out in Austria earlier in the season that he admits shook him , a brush with Coronavirus and ongoing mutterings that all is not well inside the works Yamaha team have all conspired to make this a season to forget languishing 15th in the standings with 65 pts with the last round to go .. 

Satellite Yam' rider Quatararo is getting Rossi's bike next season teaming up with Vinales while Rossi who will be 42 at the start of the next season is taking Quat's bike at Petronas .. 

And Honda's season hasn't been much better after Marc Marquez's crash at the season opener ruling him out for the rest of the year while his younger brother Alex has not been able to master the RCV .. Test rider Nakagami deputising for M'nM has been flying the flag as best he can but currently second bottom in the constructors table is not a good place for the world's biggest bike maker ..

Not a restored engine but built from scratch using original Ducati drawings, now owned by Vee-Two. Different cylinder dimensions and capacity, plain big ends on one piece crank rather than the original built-up crank and roller bearings, a number of other mods. 

 

For me, this is just about the ultimate in 'Bike Porn' ...and almost AFFORDABLE at (US?) $59,000 (can that really be a true price?) according to one of the articles. But I suppose it'd be close to impossible to get into Thailand ????????

 

Now, if someone would remanufacture a Ducati single, say a 350 Desmo ...........
