Awesome bike .. Could shame machines twice it's size ..

Remember caning mine from Brighton along the '23 back to Croydon at 2 in the morning , light rain , 80 mph .. Back in Croy' before 3 with an empty tank and wringing wet .. But it was just as happy in traffic going to work which you can't always say about performance 2 strokes ..

TX750 Yam' which is a rare bike anyway even more so cooled out a bit like this one ..

Nice SRX600 with wire wheels instead of the horrid cast jobs .. Underated bike these ..

Oddball 250 veetwin Yam' badged as a SRV so is probably a quirky Japan market model .. Never seen one before ..

Ducati have already built a naked V4 streetfighter. It was debuted 2 weeks ago at pikes peak annual hill climb entered under the prototype category. The famous rider Carlin Dunne, first ever to achieve a sub 10 min lap time sadly died on the last corner before the finish line.

Top bike Cagiva Raptor 1000 .. Suzuki TL1000 lump in an Italian suit .. Not quite as scary as the Suzook these were overlooked next to Ducati Monster so weren't in production that long ..

Next one down is tagged also as a Raptor but I don't know .. angle of the front pot is too high .. It looks 90° but I don't recognise it .. VTR 1000 maybe ..

Nice Husqvarna 610 .. Looked at one of these early 00's but there seemed to be a starter issue with them that could prove expensive .. so I passed over for an XT instead ..

He could ride though, see him featured in this 1988 NZ advert for Europa fuel, he was friends with Midge Marsden the harmonica player and guested on this music video, see SRV riding on the beach around 1:05

I owned a 650 Raptor briefly, and really can't think why ... it was after Triumph Speed Triple and before a Street Triple. 8mths of sedate riding, handy as a commuter in the city but not an exciting ride

And a nice arty photo of an unidentified model.  That left hand grip is a thing of beauty:

The V8 Indian was a one-off done by a New Zealand guy called Ken Campbell.

image.png.ce7d3871545c37969beb4931a5793f36.png

He designed and built the 2.6L V8 engine from scratch to fit in a 1936 Indian 4.

More fins than the Helsinki phone book.

Many of the Indian engine parts, including the rocker shafts, used in the World's Fastest Indian movie were made by him as well.

Note the wonderful 120 vee angle.

They also did 90's.

Here'a couple more shots of the 120.

This engine pre dates Ducati's L twins by FOUR (4) decades...

Should be achievable .. And if you keep it to 90° or thereabouts looks like you can retain the Honda crankcase .. If you want to go narrow angle a custom made case is probably in order but even that is not impossible remembering Warbird has a box type crankcase ..  a crankshaft is do'able with a lathe if you go down the pressed together roller bearing route .. Get all you're calculations and measurements correct then a Pillar drill , miller and lathe should do you ..

Top one is a slightly narrower angle than the bottom lump which is a Millyard job ..
