This is some kind of international food trend.

JAPADOGS.

OK, sounds a bit racist, but it's just western hot dogs done up with some Japanese accouterments, etc.

I'm not all that big on hot dogs anyway you do them because of what goes in to the dogs, but a lot of people love them.

So if not in Thailand yet, why not?

If I was so inclined, I might see this as a business opportunity with amazing potential here.

But I'm not so maybe some entrepreneur will give it a go.

Then if it works, expect to see Japadogs on every street corner, kind of like fish massage used to be ...

I find this concept more interesting as a business opportunity for people that interests than something I would personally eat often. However if they used unusually high quality hot dogs I would at least want to try them once. Reminds me a bit of the Korean taco concept but I think Japadogs has much more international potential than those.

The reason it is probably not themed here is in the name Japadog IMO.

It would be an interesting business opportunity here if someone used traditional toppings for their hotdogs/sausages. Care would need to be given to brand names as I don't think 'Thaidogs' would hit the mark, but it might.

'Soidogs' might, but only within the TV database I reckon........................

I think people are focusing too much on the name. It's not the greatest name but it gets the concept across. Hot dogs done with Japanese flavorings. I think if given the chance plenty of people would at least try this, whatever you name. Comparing to Korean style tacos, definitely not a great name, but they're popular in some areas. Again, it's about the concept.

When I saw the title of this thread, I thought the OP was posting about Thais eating Akitas or such in Thailand!

The doggies are quite in demand in some culinary circles here in LOS...
