One way or return ticket with eVisa

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if a one-way ticket is acceptable for entry into Myanmar on a business eVisa obtained online?

I have been there twice already and they didn't request evidence of a return ticket for the online visa applications, the carrier accepted the eVisa letter at check-in at BKK and the IO at Yangon airport didn't ask to see any return ticket before stamping me into the country for up to 70 days.

The reason I am asking is I can get a much better and more flexible  ticketing deal with two separate one-way itineraries than I can with any round-trip ticketing.

Thanks!

NL

No problem, have used Evisas since they started and have flown 3 times now one way

No problem, the only thing they need on arrival is the evisa print out.  That's it
No need for an onward ticket or hotel bookings
I'm in and out of there every month on business evisas

Thanks for confirming that. I have a client with a tight budget so we're trying to maximize my billable time in country which means minimizing the client reimbursibles.

Can relate to this - I never know when I need to leave again so always book my outbound ticket later

The Myanmar e-visa system is a pleasure and delight to use, easy to do, and many nearby countries *AHEM* could take some lessons from them
