Going home next week,we had Dutch rock, blues and now some good old Dutch country music!!

They did really well in the UK USa and behind the Iron curtain!!

Mississippi by Pussycat. Takes me back to Connemara, co Galway, Ireland 73/74. Used to hear that song on the jukebox in the local pub as we were playing pool after a day's work helping my friend build his house overlooking the sea. Wellington boots, jeans and a sweater. Happy days.

Another song on the same jukebox.

Blue Floyd , not just another PF tribute band, these guys are old established musicians from Gov’t Mule, Black Crowes and the Allman Brothers !!

Here they are putting their blues stamp on a Floyd classic.

Karl Wallinger, the lead singer in World Party, was previously in the Waterboys. Apparently, when he left the band, Mike Scott was so pissed off with him that he wrote the song 'World Party' on their Fisherman's Blues album, which includes the rather caustic lyrics:

Now you've been building for yourself a cool place in the sand
You're thinking that it's mighty fine
You've got dust in your eyeballs, you got mud in your mouth
But it's your head, it ain't mine
