Indeed i was thrilled to see another visitor heading towards us and the lake. Unfortunately an approaching pickup sent him scurrying back to the safety of the undergrowth. Plenty of Hya around this lake and my aim is to get close enough for a good photo, but unfortunately another fail !!

This is a great time of year for flower photography.  I love the effect of raindrops on petals.

In a relatively short time the landscape in Isaan has changed completely. Until recently it was green everywhere. Now that all the rice has been harvested the rice fields look dry with a brownish colour. Personally I love to go around.

Took a little ride up to Khao Takiab ( Hua Hin ) today. The monkeys continue to destroy the buildings but their numbers are much depleted and the “ feed the monkeys “ tourist attraction is long gone.

It was kinda nice to see them at the water’s edge taking advantage of any washed up sea life they could find. 
 

 

The x.5 times zoom on the iPhone creates a nice wide angle/fish eye type of shot .

I hope it is easy to see,we found a scorpion in a bedroom and placed him in

a jar to move him later.

Guess what happened,she had babies in the jar and she is carrying them around on her back.

Never knew this,nature is wonderful.

On my daily walk, around the old city Ayutthaya, always pleased to see some hya swimming around.

Today must have been a rest day as they all seem to be hanging around gossiping !
