Yes! Things can be challenging in the EPL. But there were a couple of strange results in different leagues on Saturday. Top of the table Swansea lost at home to bottom club Stoke. And spare a thought for Bayern (2-7 recently), who suffered a home defeat by mid-table team Hoffenheim.

Don't let the heads drop guys. Soon be glory, glory days (again).

Alfie confirming our comments, that he hides when Spurs lose - see he's  been commenting on people's wifes but can't bring himself to comment on his own team. Guess Alfie and 3minus will be back when Spurs losing is all forgotten.

I wouldn't be too swift to write us off BB....we did you over 2 legs last year and we'll happily do it again.

Wet Spam dropping by to have a pop eh? How is your claret an blue council house these days?

So anyway in the cold light of day its a defeat against what looks a very good Bayern side.....and an admittedly average Brighton side.

We at least get a couple of weeks to work on our tactics which is at the heart of why we are doing so badly imho....also to identify leaders in the squad.

I saw a report that our dressing room was quiet after the Bayern match....well I'd rather there were bottles flying around and punchups myself....show that desire and passion to win at all costs cos that is what is needed.

Just so long as no one knocks out Sonny's teeth....imagine the insurance payout!! :hit-the-fan:

I don't think tactics is the problem when there's 4-5

players that aren't giving 100%.

Poch needs to be the brave one and start freezing out the

players who won't be there next season.

He needs to start building the team for next season with

the players who are committed to the club.

Eriksen, Toby & Jan need to be phased out of the squad.

Aurier Dier & Wanyama need to be benched until they're fully match fit and regain some sharpness, and if it means

bringing in some of the youth players, then I'll be fully

behind him.

I watched all the pre season games and the youngsters that

played would give a better performance than the above mentioned players.

Fair point that Sots and I agree the top three....and Aurier has not settled in North London and needs replacing eventually....but we have to persist until at least Jan with some of them.

Too many forget we haven't even seen Lo Celso and Sessegnon pull on the shirt.....patience and hopefully all will be well.

Not sure I've mentioned writing Spurs off anything (though of course i never rate you), but as you bring it up, i don't  see Spurs winning anything this season. What trophy you see Spursey winning this season Ronnie?

No more or less than I see you winning BB.

But what do Alfie and 3minus2 make of Spurs capitulations vs Bayern and Brighton? The world is waiting.

I refer the dishonourable gentleman to the comments made above.

It is clearly evident that Totts F.C. have reached the cross roads.

due to many valid reasons to discuss or post.

My 2 cents worth is that chairman Levy must back Poch to the hilt . in the next T/F window signing new players.  and moving on the disgruntled players which seems to me a abundance of them

the last 2  heavy losses surely confirms my 2 cents worth

But Alfie i posted:

"Butwhat do Alfie and 3minus2 make of Spurs capitulations vs Bayern and Brighton?"

You will note the use in my post of Bayern AND Brighton.

My post therefore meant 'what does Alfie make of Spurs capitulations in BOTH the Bayern game AND in the Brighton game?'.

You went in to hiding after the Brighton game - as usual.

Remind me of the #post number where you've commented on the Brighton game.

If you didn't / haven't posted on the Brighton then that would make me RIGHT!

Ps. I've requested you cease with the use of the word "liar". Not exactly in the spirit of a football forum is it.

Foyth starting for Argentina today in a Friendly against Germany. So should be available for Spurs barring an injury today.

Yes Foyth and Lo Celso would be good to see making an appearance alongside our new teenager as well.

We wait with baited breath to see the next episode!

Just poor that.

Never mind Ronnie, tell us what you were drinking instead (i had a couple of PB Valley Chenin Blanc 2017 plonk last night, was alright), probably more interesting than comments on the Rise and Fall of Tottenham Hotspur.

Amazon documentary should be a best seller if this malarky continues.

Now that Foyth & Lo Celso are back in contention with sub

appearances last night, it'll help Poch with selection options.

Although a poor opposition in Red Star, Spurs showed fight,

determination and better balance than in previous games

this season.

An important point to note is that the team played well

without Eriksen, Rose & Toby, 3 players that Poch wanted

to leave last August.

Still a big ? on Vertonghen's future, even last night he

didn't look 100% on the pace and did get dispossessed

trying to play out, against better teams, that could have

cost the team a goal.

Has the penny finally dropped in Poch that the players who

won't be there next season won't give him the 100% commitment that is required at this level.

Only time will tell when we see who starts at Anfield on

Sunday

Yes that surprised me, I was sure we would see lack of creativity in the midfield, but it worked against a poor team . Lets see if we can copy that in the league.
