Utility wires burn in South Pattaya fire

PATTAYA:--Electric and utility wires behind The Avenue galleria caught fire, but caused no injuries.

 

Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames consuming the jumbles of wires on Soi 15 behind the mall. The Provincial Electricity Authority cut off power until repairs were made.

 

Sayan Nadsantie, a security guard from Duangporndee Co. said a utility company technician was working on the wires when sparks flew, causing the fire.

 

No one was hurt, but several motorbikes parked at the scene were heavily damaged.

Thankfully, no families were injured.

what the article fails to mention is there was a cable crew working on the wiring prior to the fire breaking out.

the electrical fire was put out with a standard water hose. there was sparking everywhere. see below
