Tambon in Ayutthaya hit by blackout after truck accident

By The Nation

Electricity was cut off in a tambon on Saturday morning when a trailer truck crashed onto its side and knocked down nine power poles in Ayutthaya's Nakhon Luang district.

Police said the accident happened on the Tha Rua-West Ayutthaya road in front of Wat Bandai in Tambon Bang Rakam.

The accident caused a blackout to Tambon Bang Rakam and blocked the road to the temple.

The truck was driven by Niran Juwanna, 48, who was injured and taken to hospital.

Is that a record

A delivery truck in our are only managed to knock down one (some three years ago).

Was good enough for a couple of hours of blackout.

Half of Thailand is hit by blackouts regularly...without trucks running amok......!

Can top that. Cement truck went over on the mountain road that leads to my Village. Took out 8 poles and power was off for 11 hours. And I live on a lake made by one of the biggest Hydro Power dams in the country

This shouldn't be news here in Ayutthaya. We can count on three blackouts a week.

Oh really! Very rare indeed to have a blackout here in Isaan.
