In the latest of a spate of earthquake reports for the region, principally in Indonesia and The Philippines, a report this morning from the Si Sawat district of Kanchanaburi with a tremor registering 4.9 on the Richter scale.

 

No casualties or damage has been recorded.

 

Seismologists report that the quake was two kilometres underground and was sensed in Kanchanaburi, Chai Nat, Uthai Thani, Suphan Buri and Nakhon Pathom provinces.

Western Dams Safe Despite Three Earthquakes, Officials Say

KANCHANABURI — Officials said Monday all dams situated in the western mountains were unaffected by three earthquakes that struck last night.

 

The quakes struck Kanchanaburi province starting at 10:49pm, with a second at 12:01am and third at 5:02am. They were all centered in the Si Sawat district, and ranged in magnitude from 1.6 to 4.9. Vibrations were felt across the western provinces. No injuries were reported.

Yes I was watching the Man City game when the house wobbled!! It needed something to liven up a boring game!!

I am not bothered with footy but it happened to on a big screen last night at the night bazzar , and I thought at 4-1 it was a good game .  Slight wobbling when we went home after the game but the 2 jugs of Chang was the cause .

I wonder how many married women have said that is the first time they have felt the earth move for a long time .....and 3 times in one night.
