When agreeing with a Private Seller to buy a scooter on an installment plan, what are the best terms to write into the contract that would protect both the buyer and private seller and also make the contract legal and enforceable?

Are you the buyer or the seller... if seller I would never ever do it. Because even if it can be enforced good luck going through the courts with the time and money it costs.

 

I sold a bike to a private seller on installments but the guy was a friend.

Plus until the registration is transferred, there is only one place that the fines/costs go to!

You keep the book if your the seller until full payment.

If your a buyer, go buy from a shop.
