Std Test Clinics In Bangkok Or Chiang Mai

Featured Replies

Hi, does anyone know the cost to get tested for STDs in either Bangkok or Chiang Mai and does anyone know the time it takes to recieve results? Is one quicker/cheaper than the other?

Can anyone reccomend a clinic and tell me where abouts it is?

Thanks a lot

Tested for what specifically?

I got HIV results in 1 hour

My Hep A/B/C in 4 hours

I know the chalamydia used to take 2 days but have heard there is a new test.

Syph and Ghon + some others I do not know as the results came back with my yearly health screening a week later.

I got my first HIv + Hep at Bumrungrad in Bangkok - cost 2200THB

The second whole batch i do not know as at Raffles Hopital in singapore as part of a full package.

Hi I have tested myself in some of the small clinics you can find throughout BKK.

Cost about 800 Bath for HIV and some other things (I dunno what I just asked STD and HIV test)

Result in less then one hour.

Edit: By the way most easy is just to become blood donor.

At least HIV check and some other cheks they do, all for free and if you want you can give

every three months.

As the posters above have said, the time depends on the type of test.

HIV is quick. Syphilis can be same day. Gonorrhea and chlamydia might take a few days.

As to where -- any hospital can do these. A number of people have also recommended the Red Cross clinic in BKK, do a search of this thread and you should find the location details.

There are a lot of small clinics advertising STD testing in Bkk but I'd be a bit wary of them, quality of testing is unknown.

Thanks for the info guys, appreciate it.

Good advice about becoming a blood donor, nice and cheap!

Cheers.
