So was the tourist lying then...or lying now?

As to what it all means, guess it depends on how you view things here, Read my signature.

Glad it all "worked out" for the dude

How drunk would you need to be to believe that it had actually happened to you? Are we now supposed to believe that he just has a vivid imagination?

If this is true then the last story is very bizarre. There’s a pic of the guy looking very sober the next day holding the police record of the incident. If he was sober enough then to recount his story to the press how can he suddenly remember it differently another day later?

Same as the the BS rape girl

well, maybe some TV users rest their case and consider this twist as "happy end" for all involved?

He said that he was very drunk and got it all completely wrong.

It was accepted that he had been released without harm after no drugs were found on him during a search when his motorbike was stopped in the early hours of Monday morning.

I suppose his first statement in French is wrongly translated in Thai, and now it is properly translated ?

Good that he got self deportation approval finally. Hahaha.....????

A bit of a climbdown!  So was he charged with driving drunk or released with a 'warning fine'?

Being an enebriated passenger on a bike taxi is not an offence.
