I use Google voice search a lot.  just sit in my chair and tell my computer what I want to know.  Today, when I left click on the search box microphone, I get a small blue box surrounding the mic. and no "Speak Now" prompt.  I googled it but can't find anything relevant to Win 8.1 (Using Classic Shell) except a suggestion to turn "Narration" off using Win Key+Cntl+Enter.  I tried but it didn't do anything I could detect.

Any suggestions?
