February 7, 20197 yr I’m here with my kids again (Chiang Mai) and we’d like to extend our stay past the 30-day tourist visa we came in on. What would we have to do to make that happen? Cost? thanks!
February 7, 20197 yr 30 day entry isnt a tourist visa, its a visa exempt entry. As others have said easy to extend at immigration office. If you are not staying at a hotel (that has reported your arrival) then you may have some TM30 issues, a fine etc, if no TM30 has been done.
February 21, 20197 yr Author Do all of my children have to go with me to the immigration office? Or can I go on their behalf? Is it as bad as it has been in the past? I know they open at 8:30 - what time do I realistically need to be there to get a decent queue number?
February 21, 20197 yr Author Another question - are there forms that I need to fill out ahead of time? If so, can I download them? Do I need to take anything with me besides money, passports, tickets out of Thailand? Do we all need pics?
February 21, 20197 yr Whether the children will need to be with you to apply for their extension can depend upon their ages. You will need completed TM7 forms with with a 4 X 6 cm photo attached. Download complete and print 2 sided this Fillable TM7 form.pdf
