Hematologist In Phuket

Featured Replies

Anyone have a very good or a very bad experience with a local Phuket hematologist that they can either recommend or advise me to stay away from?

CHEERS!

With any specialist, what you want to look for is board certification in both Thailand and a Western country (or at least a fellowship done in a Western country). If the person is also a professor or assistant professor at one of the medical schools, all the better.

You are highly unlikely to find this in Phuket. You will readily find it in Bangkok. Check the doctor search engines of Samitivej, Bumrungrad, Bangkok Hosp etc.

Sad to say, while top notch medical care is available in Bangkok, it is hard to impossible to get anywhere else in the country.

Vitrually every case I know of where a specialist (other than routine things like OB-Gyn for delivery) has been needed who tried treatment outside of Bangkok ended up having to come in eventually, sicker and poorer than they would have been had they done so to begin with.
