Hard nut to crack

Featured Replies

I am astounded, bewildered, and leave this to the illogical state that is Thailand.

March 17, alcohol free beer was sold at Tesco Lotus all day. March 18 the Police notified Tesco Lotus it must sell Heineken 0 beer as if it is beer thus not before 11 am and not between 2-5 pm.

Licensing laws exists for products that have alcohol but that is a hard nut to crack to explain that to the Police!

Why not ask Heineken why they call it beer when it has neither hops nor alcohol in it.

This is way too confusing and complicated for the average free thinker...????

if there is confusing with when and how selling beer imagine what must be with the visa constant changes...

Alcoholic ginger beer[edit]

Brewed ginger beer originated in the UK, but is sold worldwide. Crabbie's is a popular brand in the UK.[9] It is usually labelled "alcoholic ginger beer" to distinguish it from the more established commercial ginger beers, which are not brewed (fermented), but carbonated with pressurized carbon dioxide.[10] Hollows & Fentimansclaims its ginger beer to be gluten-free.[11] Crabbie's ginger beer is free from gluten in the UK, but not the US.[12]

It's a bit like trying to explain to the police that playing cards doesn't have to be defined as gambling....

No such thing as 100% alcohol free beer- apart from the likes of ginger beer . Even the food we eat has a alcohol content in it

Maybe because its to difficult for the cops to keep them apart, they feel that if they cannot buy and drink their whiskey, why should they let anyone else drink . Even if its alcohol free .

Most alcohol beers are brewed in the same fashion as beer, then they burn the alcohol off before canning

What constant visa changes are you referring to?

The mind boggles at the deep philosophical questions raised and answered here.

Really. What's the alcohol content of Vegemite? Oh shit, I've done it again.

I thought in  Australia to call a beverage a beer it had to have a certain alcohol content otherwise it was just a soda as was Swan Special Light at 0.9%, which could be sold in garages. Sex on the beach was it's motto.

What is needed for some person to defy the Police and allow the Courts to decide if non alcohol beer can be drunk and sold on alcohol free days. Would be interesting to see if the police would progress the case to the Courts.
