Thai Rath reported that a 71 year old man got a fishing hook from a line embedded above his eye after passing a motorcycle taxi near the Bang Bua market in Chachoengsao.

Suphap Khaemkham, 30, was on the back of a  motorcycle taxi with his rod after going fishing. The first he knew that something had happened was when the young wife of the victim chased him to a U-turn.

Phithep Thanakunwat, 71, was also on the back of a motorcycle with his 30 year old wife.

As they passed the motorcycle taxi she ducked but he got the hook from Suphap's rod right in the eye. It nearly caused him to come off his wife's bike, he said.

Chachoengsao Foundation medics stemmed the blood flow at the scene before taking Phithep to Chularat 11 hospital.

They keep thinking of new ways to injure each other on the roads,

this one's a new one.the one with the rod must have thought he

caught a big'in.

He was “hooked” before - a 71 year old with a 30 year old wife.

He'd fit right in on Thai visa forum and probably with less whining and moaning.

I got a hook in the eye fishing with Dad and brothers. It does hurt. Glad the old boy didn't get blinded.
