Yes maybe a Doggie supporter can give opinion why Martin was selected for Port game.

I think that I'm odd one out....thought Martin was poor.

Maxie will be licking his lips.

Martin is a solid contributor mr, i would have picked him as well.....now in the GF with a game under his belt will be better, a former Demon never understood why they traded him to the Lions, like Gawn still wasnt up to it when he left but to be honest Martin was mainly used as a center half forward with  us, still lacking match fitness hopefully Gwan might find him out lets hope so....But i certainly would have him in the team as soon as he was available.

There's a good footy article in The Age this week.

https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/how-your-afl-team-went-in-2021-and-what-they-should-do-this-off-season-20210831-p58ngg.html

If you want to read it online and run into their paywall, download the "bypass paywall" app for either Firefox or Chrome.

With the season coming to a close this month, draft and list expert Matt Rendell is taking a look at each team’s season in 2021 and what they need to do with their lists over the off-season. This article will be updated daily with a new team.

I couldn't work out why North signed Josh Walker on for another year and now the penny has dropped with Tarrant going to the Tigers.

Will be sad to see him go but North dilly dallied to much on the contract.

Hope he has a productive time there except against us.

I really liked his forward craft earlier in his career but once Scott sent him into defence,it's hard to get out of there.

Just read about Tarrent....gees at 32 think the Tigers are paying over.....look at the Cats ...think its from being swallowed up in a rainstorm there Fj, meanwhile the most unwanted forward of last years trade deal just signed up for life at the Demons....Simon cant get rid of MacDonald now....member for life....

Lets not upset Will......Ben Cousins invited to the Brownlow.....well im happy for the guy that hes on the straight an narrow....unfortunately few actually go the distance but not to rain on the parade.....go Ben go....

The worst secret ever on record is the Weed is off to pie land next season.....and the Demons put in a pitch for that Freo mid.....like i would like to know what they think they could use to trade for him...but Freo owe us a cheap one after Hogan....yeah yeah yeah i know but he was worth tons when he went there....

"Yield to none" is the Bulldogs war cry going into the last week........yooooooo Rinnie.......wolf wolf.......seems old Beverage likes to pull quotes out of the hat.....since mr Luke was on the end of some pastings while a Demon and i do recall him crawling around the bottom of some packs in them there dark days....lets hope the curse of Norm will lift, going by Mr Barassi recent cheer the tomb of the exulted one would have rolled over, now correct side up the vengeance rescinded, should mean a close affair.....

I will miss the Brownlow as per norm....think its out dated and not really relevant in the modern era....meanwhile the Vic police handed out millions of dollars worth of fines today to knuckle head protesters and none wearing masks.....i would have liked to have seen them to be rounded up put on a ship and dumb the bastards on some deserted island in the Pacific and given a healthy double dose of Delta.....with the rest of us who are dealing in silence with the ongoing pandemic clapping in glee......

Picking up Tarrant was quite shrewd from Richmond.

Is a Free Agent so won't cost anything draft wise and can take Astbury's place.

Will be good to see Cuzz at the Brownlow.

Hope he came sort himself out.

How can Melbourne afford Ceres?

Your salary cap must be bulging.

I think both Melbourne and the Bulldogs will dominate the comp the next 3 or 4 years. Both have young and talented lists.

I think Oliver would be a worthy Brownlow winner but think Petracca and Gawn will take too many votes off of him.

Would like to see Wines win it but I think Bont will.

Just finished watching the Port Adelaide doco.

More about the supporters and their passion, not to bad.

I'm a bit of an honour board and team pics through the years buff.

Used to give me chills walking into a club and seeing the champions on the walls as a youngster.

The Port club at Alberton is very much a traditional footy club, my name is engraved on a paving stone... a fund raiser back in the 90s, and I've enjoyed many a drink and meal there.

Congrats to Ollie Wines, certainly a most consistent season.

As mentioned before, was hoping Ollie would win it.

In the end, the Bulldogs not winning their last 3 games killed it for the Bont.

A winning team does not necessarily a great player make... Haydn Bunton Snr  had to wait for his final season with Port Adelaide to play in a (losing) G/F.

I don't think that Bobby Skilton saw a lot of September Action either.

Yes indeed Scea,

A lot of it is about luck.

Richmonds Marlion Pickett is a 2 time premiership winner and has only played 38 games.

You've got to love Sheeds.

Great to hear an absolute Champion of our great game Ben Cousins is alive and well and is attending this years Brownlow Night and back in the AFL arena where he belongs. Enjoy the night mate. I sure enjoyed coaching against you. #neverdoubtafightingchampion #alwaysinyourcorner

Well Dr we don't mention the the 54 GF in the trenches you know.....and wine about the 58 one.....that would have made it 54, 55, 56, 57, 58, 59 and 60......7 on the go......folk lore stuff.....

Dogs have got permission to relive the past by wrapping there bodies up in there original  54GF guernsey, and im glad they finally won there second flag in 2016 cause every few years they would get to gather to celebrate that 54 job, and thats been going on for like 30 times so far.....

Well had an earth shake here this morning around 9.30 am wondered at first what was going on....was like getting a heavy massage on the bottom sort of thing since i was sitting down...then it was like the whole house was like rocking in a sea storm washed around by waves kinda think....well for 10 seconds it was rough....sliding door next to me was rattling like a couple of tin cans.....lasted at least 30 seconds....if it had of gone on any longer i would have needed a tranquiler......

Managed so far to miss most of the hype leading up to that one day in September........ we now know what Optus Oval was awash of red and dark blue......the MFC gave out probably for free 10 semi trailers loads of Demon merch gear.......another convoy is on its way from Melbourne for next saturday men......as for the Blues has there ever been anything as desperate as them? Like i seen Clarkson on 360 this week and they were still trying talk him around....shoot the president i say like how can he stay now after running out of experienced coaches to give a job to...ho wait....Voss is an experienced coach they could throw the job at.....

Well tipsters

Who do we like this week?

I'm going Melbourne by 25 points with Clayton Oliver to get the Normie.

Your a brave man........im worried about 2 games in a month.....we haven't come back well from bys you know.....everything is set up beautifuly for the Dogs....that 54 strip is just the start off it......you know if they beat us again in a GF it will  be pure murder.....as they often invite us to there celebrations every few years....

Would like to see the Dees for Alex and Oz but...

Dogs for me,37 points and McRae for the Norm.

Gawn will be targeted and lack of games over the last month will hurt.

37 points.....now i see why ur near  the bottom of the tipsters ladder mr Fj......either way within 12 points....an if its a Demon win BOG would come from either Baylie Frich (hes due for a big one) how ever you spell it, Big Tom (is due for a blinder) or Oliver, and lets not forget Pickett and Jackson both have been doing enough but both are also due for big games and i like Pickett to upset the apple cart to take the Normie medal......if its the wolf wolfs its either Bont or McRae....

They throw Max forward and run with Jackson if it gets to hot....im expecting Max to grow even more in the GF, he has had a good final series, came out and said hes been at a bottom rung club for 10 ys this is what they play for, he will lift.....
