PHUKET:-- A Royal Thai Air Force officer has been charged with murder after stamping his wife to death in front of their children in Rawai this morning (Apr 23) as he suspected her of cheating.

The family travelled to Phuket on Sunday (Apr 21) for a holiday and were staying at Smile Residence in Rawai.

Chalong Police were alerted of the incident by hotel staff at approximately 8:30am this morning and arrived to find Squadron Leader Rassdaporn Mongkolrungsab, 39, unconscious in the hotel room. She had bruising around her left eye, chest and mouth.

No handcuffs? Others get handcuffed for shoplifting.

I think anyone who has been cheated on (is that everyone?)...can identify with the rage at being deceived...most overcome the emotion after a bit and then the sad reality of the aftermath sets in...do I end this relationship I have invested so much in...or suck it up and forgive her?

Tough situation...

What an horrific thing to do to your wife in front of the kids? No actual evidence of wrongdoing, just suspicion from spending time on LINE, which they all do way too much, and that is apparently justification to stomp your wife to death? What a complete loser. Had a family, and his jealousy and fragile ego has destroyed it for everyone. I hope the court give him many, many years in jail to contemplate his pathetic and disgraceful performance.

I feel especially for the poor kids who had to witness this. God knows if they will ever get over it.

Smile residence, wasn't there a murder a few years back?

Not necessary as he will soon be freed.

Poor Thais get 5 years jail for stealing Mushrooms but those Thais within the higher social order and/or with connections and money get away with murder, literally.

Now wait for his excuses...like he was 'Under fierce pressure' owing to some Seasteaders threatening the countrys security or some other nonsensical garbage.   Won't be any Jail time for this <deleted>, he will be free to marry again and kick another Wife to death !

She outranked him by quite a bit!  A Warrant officer is among the highest ranks of enlisted men, but still below a commissioned officer.  A Squadron Leader is a mid-ranking commissioned officer, according to Wiki she was a Major in USAF ranks.

I wouldn't be surprised if her much higher rank and salary lead to some tension between them.

Rage? My ex- trashed the house after I came home unexpectedly and caught her in bed with one of her lodgers. She apparently kicked the bejezus out of him afterwards as well. At the time, she looked mortified as I took the car keys from the nightstand, told her to get a lawyer, wished her good luck and calmly left the bedroom and our home.

Then I went on a 40-day bender... shagged her BBF... etc...

Yep.

They will have to start offering Ghost Tours soon to keep the occupancy levels up.

Just searched, were different bungalows.

I should have known that someone without any knowledge would jump on a question like mine.

Once happened to me with a live in girlfriend. She begged forgiveness so I agreed to kiss and make up. Gave her a merciless ass pounding and the threw her out. Well, unlike the poor woman in the OP, at least she walked away...…..like John Wayne.

His boss may bail him out, life is cheap.

Sorry, but in no way is rage a normal reaction that everyone can identify with. Rage is a clear sign of a person with a serious (and probably permanent) personality / behavioral disorder. The vast majority of people never exhibit that kind of behavior (thailand may be the outlier here)

Yes, a matter discussed in OCS. We were strongly discouraged from fraternizing with "other ranks" for these reasons.

A warrant officer is not an enlisted rank, at least in the American forces. It is a rank conferred literally by an act of congress. A warrant can, politely, tell a commissioned officer he is full of it.

My sister got in some trouble for marrying an enlisted man in the USAF, and refusing some good duty assignments, e.g. pursuing a masters in epidemiology at Yale, because they did not suit his plans.

Oh, my bad...let's sit down dear and calmly talk about your affairs with other men while I pickup all your bills...yea, right!  Hahaha...

Tough situation...

I packed my missus's bags, clothes, belongings everything when I found out she had been seeing someone on the quiet.. best surprise was on his wifes face when I dropped everything off at his house, she answered the door and asked what the bags were?

I said if your husband wants to have my wife he can do her laundry too !

Didn't have to stamp on anyone... just the balls to move on!

I didn't fly into a rage, I did it all in one morning, dropped off the bags, turned of my phone, sat by the beach at lunchtime & had a cool beer!

So she was cheating.... was she...

I thought they would just about all try to get a percentage of the resulting income...

His actions must all be the result of a big misunderstanding...

Not just that, but the knowledge and expectation that they may get off with a light sentence.
