No injury as trailer truck loses control in Phuket Darasamut Underpass – VIDEO

A trailer has skidded and lost control, and then collided with concrete barriers at the southern entrance to the Darasamut Underpass this morning. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

 

Wichit Police were notified of the incident at 10am. Police and emergency responders arrived at the scene to find the damaged trailer truck and smashed barriers. Both lanes inside the underpass were blocked until the truck and debris could be removed.

 

Police checked CCTV footage showing that the truck was heading down into the underpass.

No problem with his brakes then as he seemed to have them  fully  locked, too  close to that white  car who probably hasn't  realised his near miss.

If only they payed  attention to the road and conditions, twice as  long to stop in the wet

Typical Thai driver in a large rig going much too fast for the road, the traffic and the wet conditions.

 

On the plus side he didn't kill anyone as he appears to be one of the few drivers who knows where the brake pedal is. He just needs to learn how to apply it so he doesn't lose complete control of his vehicle.

Surely the truck driver can't be blamed for the very wet road?

Temporary road divide barriers seem to be a permanent fix...at least were fixed until required to stop exactly what occurred.
