If unable to go to Bangkok, I think you would do much better traveling two hours to Sri Nagarind Hospital in Khon Kaen. Dr. Chavakij Bhoomibunchoo, retina specialist, and Deputy Director of eye center, is highly recommended at their specialty eye clinic within the hospital. You can contact him at the KKU Eye Center, Department of Opthamalogy.

hadn't thought of travelling.  silly me, I thought there might be competent doctors here in Korat.  there is nothing here in Korat worth mentioning, so you're probably right.  I need to go somewhere else.

I am sure there are good opthamologists doing cataract surgery in Korat. Just ask a few local people and they probably will know of one.

I traveled all the way to Houston to get mine done. Govt hospital ok if you can wait a few months.
