July 19, 20196 yr Tattoos are without doubt mainstream now today. Many people have them and many don't. With such high numbers choosing to get ink on the skin would you be doing your company a disservice by not considering a potential employee who has visible tattoos? you could be missing out on a gem, would you be prepared to overlook a visibly tattooed person?
July 19, 20196 yr Popular Post It would depend very much on the job in question, the person them self and the nature of the tattoos. Face, neck and hands probably no. Many would be unacceptable in a high profile customer facing role. or in a senior manager, others would be fine. It's not possible to be definitive, at least for me.
July 19, 20196 yr Popular Post If they won't be front office serving customers then why not, as this affects profit if customers don't return for any reason. They may be just right for the job out back.

July 19, 20196 yr Popular Post I could never understand people who go and ink themselves so much that you can even tell anymore where's the ink start or finish, it's like they think the more the better, i say Less is More, as for employing a heavily tattooed man, sure, but other than a tattoo shop or a bikeres place, only in jobs and places where they will not come into contracts with customers...

July 19, 20196 yr Personally find tattoos detract from natural beauty... At work...if attending to the public...then most, if not all should be covered... Unless you are ashamed of your body, why go through the expense and pain of placing permanent ink?
July 19, 20196 yr Would you employ someone with a visible birthmark? There are idiots and bigots born every day and no shortage of people pandering to them.
July 19, 20196 yr Absolutely not, thats why me missus wears a long sleeve flanno and tracky dacks out in public.

July 19, 20196 yr Surely you employ someone on their qualifications for the job, their ability to "fit" with existing staff members, expertise and knowledge they bring to the role. Tattoos are secondary to that.
July 19, 20196 yr Depend the job. Some girl like it. Famous thai singer. Gang Laiprang....with his wife.

Been on a few selection panels, and seen applicants with tattoos all well qualified, as they got past the first two cullings, before being panel interviewed

July 19, 20196 yr A driver yes. Having not too many and in a respectable place with a respectable tattoo then I would even hire one as waiter, but has to wear nice clothes. For girls, on the bicep of the arm no unless it was in a bar, and I vowed to never own a bar.
