Crime Suppression Division police announced the arrest of a 36 year old Thai man who ripped off customers at a Cha-Am finance company.

Suwin Khemthong, or Bank, was wanted on a warrant for fraud and falsifying and presenting false documents issued by the Petchaburi court in December of 2018.

He was arrested at a law office in Pahonyothin Road near the Victory Monument yesterday.

While he was a loans officer at the Cha-Am branch of "Ngern Tit Lor" Co Ltd he falsified customer documentation to get tens of thousands of baht for himself.

The fraud came to light when customers started getting notices to repay loans they had not taken out.

He admitted to all the charges and said it was to pay off gambling debts also in the tens of thousands of baht.

He said that he had fled to Bangkok when his crime spree was rumbled.

A true gambler would say that a mere game of chance like a lottery is not true gambling

Those were government's words exactly in previous years when challenged on it.

So the Thai "Hi-Lo' game must also be a 'game of chance', and therefore not illegal?

Playing a game of chance for money is one definition of gambling. Others would say that true ‘gambling’ involves a certain skill set, but I haven’t seen many rich ‘gamblers’, have you?

They should have arrested Bank at a bank.

They should have arrested Bank at a bank.

Then they could deposit him in the nick, then produce the Bank charges.

You wouldn't see them because they'd be somewhere else than you are.

Hands off the lottery, today I bought tickets who's last two numbers match every vehicle licence plate that my family own.

What could possibly go wrong?

The main skill with gambling is to avoid it. You'll be richer immediately.
